The ACE Snowmobile Club was formed in 1970 by a group of enthusiastic farmers and landowners who were new to the sport of snowmobiling. The group started garnering support from landowners and fellow snowmobilers to develop the trail system.
Today the club maintains over 100 miles of trails. This is only possible through the generosity of over 300 private landowners. The club works tirelessly to maintain favorable relationships with our landowners. We have a small but loyal crew of volunteers who clean the trails, maintain the trails, groom the trails, put up the signs and take them down in the spring.
The club owns a Caterpillar bulldozer that is used for trail building and summer trail maintenance. Club members donate use of trucks, tractors, and excavators when needed for trail maintenance. Our grooming fleet consists of one ASV track truck, a Yamaha Rhino with tracks, and our recently purchased Chevy Blazer with tracks as well as the donated use of an 85 hp 4 wheel drive McCormick farm tractor and a John Deere 4520 tractor.
